Monstars: Hobo With a Shotgun (2011), The Drake

Ok, ok, this is the last Monstar version of a character from Hobo wtih a  Shotgun, I swear! I just felt the need to draw the drake after seeing Leigh Young's take on The Drakes boy's Slick and Ivan. I just really enjoyed the flick and every time I watch it I feel inspired to do some art. Sadly my blu-ray came with a U.S. only code for the digital download so I can't throw the movie onto my ipod. Hopefully I'll get that sorted out eventually.  I hope you dig my take on the Drake and one of his little pieces of life advice. If you haven't seen the movie yet do yourself a favor watch it now.

HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN: Hobo wallpaper

I thought I was done doing Hobo with a Shotgun art. Guess I was wrong.  I decided the set wasn't complete without the Hobo. I tried getting Abby in the drawing too but she just kept turning out really terrible. Not that Molly Dunsworth is terrible looking (quite the opposite in fact) I just couldn't get the drawing to look right. So you'll just have to be content with my take on the awesome Rutger Hauer.
Not only is this another entry in my Monstars series, its also an entry in my favorite movie line series. Two for the price of one. If you click on the image at the top of this you'll get a big desktop wallpaper sized version of the image, below is just a close up of the Hobo for fun.

Hobo with a Shotgun: Slick and Ivan the Drake Boys

I couldn't resist doing another little piece of Hobo fan art. This time its the Drake's sons, Slick and Ivan. they're bad guys. Bad enough to qualify to be added to my collection of monsters I call Monstars. If you've seen the flick you'll understand what scene this is referencing, one of my favorite scenes.

Thanks Jason Eisner for making such a fun movie. I saw there's an alternate ending where one of the characters gets Plagued. I wish the footage I saw of that scene wasn't so dark I really want to draw the new Plague member. Guess I'll have to wait for the Blu-Ray.
