I won a Silver Medal in the 2014 Society of News Design Awards.

It's nice to know someone appreciated the headache that was the Walking Dead graphic. A project that was equal parts fun and frustrating. The print version only covers up to the mid-season finale of season three. I actually continued this graphic up to the end of that season with some extra bits and pieces and a composite image by Richard Johnson using all the little zombies that filled the rest of the piece which you can find here: The Stopped Dead: A Statistical Look Back at the Walking Dead So Far.

Walking Dead, zombies: Season 1-3

So I updated the "Stopped Dead" graphic of all the on-screen zombie kills in the first 3 seasons of AMC'S Walking Dead. I stayed up way too late working on this. Here's the full version with numbers of weapons used and who the top 5 zombie killers are: LINK

Walking Dead: the Stopped Dead

Here's a few of the 347 zombies killed so far during the 2.5 seasons of the walking dead. They're from a GIANT, super detailed graphic about the number of walkers killed onscreen  Richard Johnson (if you don't know his stuff check it out, beautiful pencil drawings) and I (if you don't know my stuff then what have you been looking at on this blog?) built for the National Post. Since the show's on a break right now you can at least get your zombie killing fix by pouring over that graphic. It also features numbers and types of weapons used and the top 10 still living zombie killers from the show. DIG IT!

UPDATE: First cast member to tweet the graphic was Melissa McBride who plays Carol. she's now officially my favorite character.

They Came To Kill Us... too!

I was recently asked if I would like to participate in a book of zombie art. So of course I said yes. What you see here is the rough pencils of what I've put together for that book.
I'm really happy with how the finished image turned out. The Book comes out in September is England so I'll remember to post links to how you can get a copy if you want one. It will be 256 pages of art by 175 artists, including myself. Should be pretty cool.
