Kubert School Horror Assignment 5: The Final Chapter

So I finally got around to finishing my final assignment in the Kubert Correspondence School's Horror course.
It was a lot fun going through the assignments, the critiques were pretty informative and mostly helpful. I'm still thinking of taking the inking course just to brush-up a bit more pen and ink/ brush techniques. its been a long time since I've used those things to create art.

Correspondence Course continues!

This is the second last of the five assignments from the Kubert Correspondence Courses. I had to use dip pens and brushes to ink this one. I thought it turned out pretty good, I even enjoyed using the pen and ink. I'm probably going to play around with those tools for a while. Watch out for more drawings done using those things from me in the future. I hope you enjoy the werewolf action going on in this thing, I know I did.

Another correspondence course assignment

So, this was the third of five assignments in the Kubert Horror Correspondence course. I was a bit busy with other work and stuff so I just got around to finishing this. I've got two more assignments to go, I'm looking forward to the next one since it involves drawing a werewolf, but it also involves inking the page. so it'll take a bit longer to finish than the first pages. This course was a lot of fun and I've been really enjoying playing around with it.

Kubert School: horror assignment 2

So, finally got around to doing the second of the assignments for the Kubert Comic School, Horror correspondence course. Dig it. I'm pretty happy with most of it. not 100% what I was planning on drawing but it'll do.

I kinda forgot how hard it is to do homework when you don't really have a strong idea. At least there wasn't a school/ real world style deadline for it.

MORE HORROR....

I got my critique for my first Kubert Correspondence Course Horror assignment (which I talked about here) back, they said the space monkey wasn't horror enough. so I figured since I've gotta use him for a few more of the assignments I'd take a moment and creep him up a bit more using a few of the suggestions from the critique. Weirdly the critiquer (is that even a word) got rid of the space suit for his draw over, the suggestion even said that knowing how to draw the space suit dosen't add to the horror (in reference to the little head turn around that you can see in that  image if you go to the previous link.
