Halloween Fiends: 12
Based on the Metaluna Mutant from This Island Earth, the Universal picture. The next couple of fiends will probably also be inspired by the Universal Monsters, just 'cus I dig 'em.

Wolverine's been in a fight ...
Couldn't think of anything to draw today so I asked Bobby Calabrese of Calabrese fame what he thought I should draw. He said "Some creature from the swamp! Or one of th X-Men! Or a space duck!" Since I've drawn swamp creatures before I decided against that. I don't remember ever drawing any of the X-Men (which is weird since that used to be my favorite comic book) I decided to draw Wolverine. Wolverine after a pretty ridiculous fight.
I don't understand why people don't draw Wolverine all messed up more often, guy's got a healing factor, he's the one popular Marvel character who can take an insane amount of damage and still be ok with it. So that's what I drew.
Why'd I ask Bobby Calabrese specifically? I've worked with his band off and on since their first Album so I figured one of those Calabrese boys might have some good ideas. Plus having read his blog and watched the video's he's made, he seems like an alternate universe version of me who drinks and plays rock music. So who better to steal, I mean, get suggestions of what I should draw.
I also drew a Space Duck.

Kubert School Horror Assignment 5: The Final Chapter
It was a lot fun going through the assignments, the critiques were pretty informative and mostly helpful. I'm still thinking of taking the inking course just to brush-up a bit more pen and ink/ brush techniques. its been a long time since I've used those things to create art.

Sketchin' while commutin'
Doodling in my Molskine this morning on the way into work. Drawing monsters first thing in the morning is fun. That top guy you might recognize from the Blind Dead series of films. Saw them for the first time this year and fell in love with the look of the evil knights templar. I saw the second Blind Dead movie first and couldn't believe the series wasn't more popular the undead templar's looked really cool, the movie was creepy and strange in a good way. Then I saw the rest of the series and understood. If you haven't seen them I recommend "Return of the Evil Dead" the second of the Blind Dead movies and then ignore the others they're no where near as good.
I'm not really sure where this other guy came from. I was listening to the Darkest of the Hillside Thickets' album "Shadow Out of Tim" at the time so maybe that's the influence.

Space Mummy Vampire Squid thing
A quick study of what I was planning on drawing for this round of C.L.O.C. vs. The Mighty Men and Monster Maker. So far all the art that's been produced for this thing has been fantastic, but considering who's involved I would have been surprised to see crummy art. Below is the Final version of what I drew. looks like I changed my mind about the nose.
