The Spider with No Name

Quick little drawing of what I figure an Old West version of Spiderman would look like.
A co-worker and I were discussing the different Spider-man universes (regular continuity, Noir, 2099 etc.) and started making jokes about what a cowboy spider-man comic would be like.
oh and his first favorite horse was called Gwen Stacy, she was killed by the Red Goblin

Belligerent Lobster vs. Flex Danger

I eventually got bored of trying to figure out how to make funny comic strips and decided to try my hand at Hardboiled Detective fiction. Sadly after the first Flex Danger strip I was told to stop doing  newspaper strips.

Don't worry, I think both Flex Danger and Belligerent Lobster may make a return in the not to distant future.

Belligerent Lobster rises again

Mostly I just really dig the background on this one. I like how most of these strips have something more interesting happening in the background than the foreground.

Belligerent Lobster 1

A while ago I inadvisedly tried my hand at the newspaper strip comic format. It ran in the National Post for a suprising seven weeks. Here they come again.

They Came To Kill Us ... the movie

A while ago a friend of mine and I had decided we'd work on a small animated version of one of my little comics. we didn't get very far. I kind of forgot how much effort was involved in doing animation, especially when there were other things I was working on at the time, so the project got shelved. all that exists so far is a small teaser trailer.
and a sort of animatic of what was going to happen
we were originally discussing making it look like the old spiderman cartoon, you know the one from the sixties.
I still want to do this and will probably end up doing bits and pieces of it when I find the time.
