Zeke Deadwood and other things.

I recently read T. A. Boatwright's awesome comic Zeke Deadwood (which is available for only one dollar?!) and had to draw him again. This time I drew Megan from my comic Beach Blanket Bloodbath for laffs. Anyway you should read Zeke Deadwood, the art's awesome, the story is great, the gimmick with the wrap around story is amazing. I'm really surprised the comic's not more popular.
I can't wait for the second issue, it features a ROBOT fighting a ZOMBIE COWBOY?!
In other news. It looks like I'm now officially going to be at FanExpo at the end of August. I'll be in artist alley selling comics and prints and hopefully and Artbook of some sort. Expect more news when I know more news.
And finally. They let me draw a guy throwing up for an illustration in the National Post this weekend.
Check out this sneak peek at what they let me get away with this week.

The finished piece is much more awesome. So go buy the National Post this weekend and look for this on page WP6
You may now return to your regularly scheduled whatever it was you were doing before you looked at this blog post.

RIP RANDY SAVAGE

Between assignments at work I threw this together as tribute to one of my favorite wrasslers. Someone caught me drawing it and it ended up on the National Post's website.

Fourth Charity commission: Jason from Friday the 13th part 2

Technically I commissioned myself to draw this one. Since its friday the 13th I had to draw a quick little Jason Voorhees. If you're interested in getting a drawing for $10, follow these directions. Your help would be appreciated. There is one more day left to take advantage of this offer. Hey, its for a good cause, you actually get something for your donation, and you make me draw something you want and I don't even get any reward for it. So have a heart guys $10 donation for a drawing like this but of something you like.

MONSTARS: THE THING (1982)

The Thing is probably my all time favorite movie. I've bought it in every video format I've had access to except Beta, I was too young to buy movies when I had a Beta machine. If you haven't seen this flick I think there must be something wrong with you. Thank you Mr. Carpenter for making such an awesome movie. I'm sure I mentioned before that I really dig this movie.

Drawing stuff for Charity.

I'm going to be walking in the Walk to Fight Arthritis this May 15th and I thought I'd see if I could raise some extra money for our team, my little sister's the one with arthritis and I wanna be a good older brother. You can read more about it here: Walk for Arthritis team

For a $10 donation, I'll draw you a sketch of anything you want (no weird porn stuff tho). Cool?
it'll be a pencil drawing similar to the other pencil drawings you've seen on this blog.

Just donate here: donate and email me at abarr at somethingagogo.com  a copy of your confirmation email with a description of what you'd like a sketch of.
I'll complete each sketch in the order that I get emails.

I'll keep these commissions open until May 15, that's the day of the walk.

So, don't make me look like an idiot by having no one donate for me.
Thanks!

HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN: Hobo wallpaper

I thought I was done doing Hobo with a Shotgun art. Guess I was wrong.  I decided the set wasn't complete without the Hobo. I tried getting Abby in the drawing too but she just kept turning out really terrible. Not that Molly Dunsworth is terrible looking (quite the opposite in fact) I just couldn't get the drawing to look right. So you'll just have to be content with my take on the awesome Rutger Hauer.
Not only is this another entry in my Monstars series, its also an entry in my favorite movie line series. Two for the price of one. If you click on the image at the top of this you'll get a big desktop wallpaper sized version of the image, below is just a close up of the Hobo for fun.

UPDATE: the director of the film says...

also I'm still open for commissions for that charity walk details: here
