RIOT (1996)

I was recently asked by the folks who run The Laser Blast Film society at the Royal Cinema in Toronto to create a poster for their screening of PM entertainment's direct to VHS action classic RIOT staring Sugar Ray Leonard and Gary Daniels. So I did. They'll be showing it Dec. 19, 2014 at 9:30 pm, you should probably go.  It'll be fun! The trailer looks hilarious:

Sharknado 2: The Second One

So I did one of them Mondo type poster type things for the new Sharknado movie.
The Asylum had a contest. I entered but didn't win. Oh, well.

Prince of Darkness

Everyone seems to be having fun doing those minimalist / mondo type posters for movies so I figured I'd give it a try. That's my take on a poster for one of my favorite John Carpenter Flicks, Prince of Darkness. You know what I learned while doing this? Wrong. No, what I learned is, it actually is pretty fun to do this mondo poster thing. I might do a couple more when I've got the time.

Awesome poster for The Thing (1951)

With the thing coming out soon I figured I'd post some cool thing stuff. First, I saw this poster in Disney World, in the Drive-in restaurant. I think its the coolest poster I've ever seen for the classic The Thing from another world. I wish I could find a decent print of it.
so awesome.
Friday in the National Post you'll be able to find my helpful diagram of how to spot the thing. I'll post a preview image before that but if you don't see anything from me in regards to that, I may no longer be human.

Doc Savage needs a new shirt! Won't you help?

Just thought I'd post this hilarious thing I saw in the middle of one of the Doc Savage books.
I wonder how well this campaign did. Doc never seems to have a decent shirt on any of the covers.
I didn't bother scanning the part on the next page since it was just an order form and didn't say anything funny on it. Although I wonder if the address listed on the order form is still in existence and what would happen if I did send $2.  I think it would be fun to "shake up a few stiffs" around the office.
