Have I ever mentioned I love "THE THING"

Dr. Blair dosen't want to stay in the tool hut.
I just really felt like doing som art of one of my favorite scenes from my favorite movie. I always love how sad Wilfred Brimley plays Blair when he's out in the cold.

  1. Those eyes are creeping me the hell out, A. I could totally see an entire comic/graphic novel adaptation of the film in this style.

  2. thanks. I started doing a piece of mcready talking to the tape recorder but just couldn't get it to work so I stopped. this is the first in a series of pieces where I draw a favorite bit of dialog from a movie I dig.

  4. they're not all going to be horror flicks. one of them features the rise of our true masters, another involves the theft of a bicycle, and a third is about the benefits of getting a lobotomy.
figure those clues out... if you can!

  5. hmmm... I really do suck at guessing, but since you asked is it: Masters of the Universe, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure and The Man with the Screaming Brain?? I'm totally reaching on that last one, haha.

  6. ha ha! you got one right. The middle one. here's some other clues. the first one deals with a population trained as slaves until one of their own finally says "no!" And the other involves aliens and time travel, maybe.

  7. Dagnabit, I'm not giving up, haha. The first one kind of sounds like Ben-Hur... or The Ten Commandments. The last one... Planet of the Apes?? There's so many alien flicks floating in my head... Xtro, E.T., Night of the Creeps, Alient... I'm stumped. :)
